Tourist marketing is an asignatura situated in first course, second semester, headed to provide to the students the foundations, methods and basic applications that chair the discipline of the Marketing applied to the tourism, analysing the surroundings, the consumer tourist, the segmentation of the tourist market, the paper of the investigation of markets, the tourist commercial planning, the product, price, distribution and tourist communication. All this confers to the student a basic training for the exert of tasks in the tourist organisations so much public like private.

1. Comprise the relations of exchange between the tourist companies so much public like private and the destinations, with the tourist and the resident, from a punto of tourist commercialisation.
2. Know the basic concepts for the taking of decisions of direction of marketing in the company.
3. Know the strategies for the gestión of the tourist product.
4. Comprise the strategies of prices of the tourist products.
5. Recognise the distinct types of tourist intermediaries as well as the strategies of the system of commercial distribution.
6. Know the strategies of communication of the company.
7. Know use the instruments of analysis that facilitate the taking of tourist commercial decisions.
8. Recognise that the creation of value for the customer, so much to level of destinations as of tourist companies, has to take into account the resident.
The methodology of education and learning that drives to the acquisition of the competitions of the matter includes the following formative activities:
Theoretical classes: it will use the method of the lesson magistral to explain the fundamental concepts of the matter Tourist Marketing, emphasizing the critical and problematic appearances. All the theoretical materials will be to disposal of the student in the Campus Vitual. In the measure of the possible, will try enter elements for the debate and the individual reflection related with the aim to reach an optimum solution, observing the pros and contras of the application of the distinct concepts in the taking of commercial decisions for the destinations and tourist companies. In these same sessions, the students will present his works that will allow to observe the degree of maturity reached regarding the knowledges purchased and, at the same time, generate debate.
Practical classes headed to the solution of problems: In these classes the students have to resolve problems and study cases, what drives to a learning based in problems. Said cases will be based in real cases and other exercises or activities proposed by the professor and related with the subjects that integrate the content of the asignatura.
The individual work or in group that the student realises without the presence of the professor, centres in the preparation of the classes, the study, extension and synthesis of information received, the resolution of exercises, the preparation and editorial of works, the preparation of exhibitions, the preparation of examinations, etc. In a lot of cases will be activities directed, being able to use for this the tools that provides the Virtual Campus of the UA.
