The science of color is an interdisciplinary subject, which thrives on physical-chemical and psychological foundations of interaction light - eye, apply to theories and techniques that are used to design, manufacture and measure colored objects. The subject serves to encourage and train the student in the implementation of the knowledge previously assimilated into the definition and resolution of problems related to the control of color in many industrial sectors (textile, paints, plastics, cosmetics, printing, ceramic, multimedia image and virtual reality, decoration and colour restoration in architecture and art, etc). In particular, this subject clearly enhance their labour employability in numerous industrial sectors, and which could also mark a stamp of quality differential with respect to other similar degrees at other universities.

Study and analysis of the human eye as an optical instrument, applying the rules of geometrical optics. The course will provide the basis for other subjects dealing with the study of the optical combination of an optical instrument and the eye. It also complements the optometric evaluation of healthy and abnormal eyes.

The first theoretically introduces the student to matter. The second is aimed at the learning of specific skills. The third is dedicated to the relationship of aid in certain contexts and situations. The subject has 15 tracks. The first four, introduce theoretically to the student in the matter. Items 5-11 are directed to specific skills (listening, for example techniques) or generic (interview clinic, for example). The last four tracks are dedicated to the relationship of aid in certain contexts or situations.

The course of public health and Social work has aims to enhance with a theoretical and practical knowledge professional actions of the / as workers social related to the health of communities. In this sense, the course includes general content on the basic foundations of public health (introduction and basic elements of this area of actuación-investigación) and specific methodological tools (epidemiology, qualitative methodology), as well as more specific aspects related to the main problems of health of the general population and groups in a situation of social vulnerability and the basic elements for the planning and development of interventions in health in communities.

The core subject occupational health is taught during the second semester of the third year of the degree of labour relations of the University d´Alacant. Consists of four modules designed with some content that will allow to the alunando at the end of his study to be able to have some knowledge, attitudes and skills to incorporate the protection of health in their future professional activity, as an essential element in the management of labour relations.

Relationship between nutrition, behavior and eating disorders. Multimodal treatment of body image in eating disorders. Relationship of assistance (counselling) in alimentary behavior in health and disease.
Visual ergonomics allows take and apply in a synergistic way the knowledge and skills acquired on optics and optometry throughout the career grade to identify and analyze the occupational and environmental risk factors that can cause problems of eye health and visual functionality. The course serves to encourage the student in the application of the knowledge assimilated in the resolution of practical problems related to the study of visual ergonomics. It will also encourage the implementation of the basic steps to correctly prescribe treatment to restore the visual function or improve visual performance. Thus, this course will clearly enhance their labour employability in numerous industrial sectors, and which could also mark a stamp of quality differential with respect to other similar degrees at other universities.
Therefore, this teaching project raises the fundamentals to successfully undertake any kind of theoretical and applied projects where human vision, as resulting from the interaction of luz-materia - eye, plays an important role in the metrological control and visual quality of several industrial sectors.
