In this asignatura tackle the basic concepts of the fluid mechanics. It treats so much the internal flow, common to all the branches of the engineering, like the external flow, typical of the chemical engineering. Also they describe qualitative and cuantitativamente the operations of solid separation-fluent, as they are the sedimentación or the leak.
The aim is that the student purchase the knowledges ingenieriles to be able to tackle the design of drivings for liquids and gases, teams measurers of pressure and discharge and teams impulsores of fluids that go to be presents in any chemical installation. Also they study the operations based in the transport of quantity of movement, being some of them processes of separation as it is the case of sedimentación, leak, and centrifugation or other very frequent operations in the chemical industry as they are the mixed and the fluidización.
It splits I: Internal Flow
-Subject 1. Internal flow with fluent incompresibles and compressible. Flow estacionario in cylindrical tubes in regimen laminar and turbulent: distribution of speeds and half speed . Drivings and accessories. Balances of energia total and mechanical energy. Loss of mechanical energy in drivings: equations for the calculation of the factor of friccion. Loss of mechanical energy in accidents. Design of drivings. Flow in drivings no cylindrical: concept of hydraulic radius ydiámetro equivalent. Flow in free plate. Flow of liquids no Newtonian. Compressible flow. Subsonic flow, sonic and supersonic in nozzles and filters. Concept of Mach. Circulation by pipes.
-Subject 2. Teams for the impulsión of the fluids. Point of installation. Power and performance. Impulsion Of liquids (bombs). Centrifugal bombs. Hit of ariete. Impulsión Of gases (fans, soplantes and compressors). Criteria of selection.
-Subject 3. Measure of discharges. Determination of punctual speeds. Determination of half speeds. Determination of discharges.
It splits II. External flow
-Subject 4. Transport of quantity of movement between solids and fluent. Basic concepts: characterisation of the solid particles, distribution of sizes of particles and concepts of half diameter. Added of particles and processes of flocculation. Trip of solid particles and added in the breast of the fluid. Porous mulches and tortas: porosidad, permeabilidad, specific resistance and loss of pressure. Mulches fluidizados. Agitation.
-Subject 5. Operations of solid separation-flowed based in the flow of fluids. Sedimentación. Leak. Centrifugation. Ciclones.
In this material are contained the basic concepts of the course of Fluid mechanics, of third course of the degree of Chemical Engineer of the University of Alicante. In said course tackles the internal flow of fluids, the solid external flow-fluent and the operations of separation based in the flow of fluids.
